What’s a Private Sewer Lateral(PSL)?

In 2009 the EPA and California Regional Quality Control Board ordered EBMUD (and others) to rehabilitate old, cracked sanitary sewer systems.  EBMUD passed a private sewer lateral (PSL) ordinance to resolve this.  This ordinance requires us to bring our PSL system into EBMUD compliance and certification.

Why was there a Construction Notification posted on my door?

The HOA board has entered  a contract with Waterworks (Project Management) and Express Sewer and Drains (Construction) to complete the required upgrades.  See the links below to find the website and information  about the upcoming project.
